HOW IT WORKS

Eagle Eye software uses high-end video technology to capture and replay finish line video at 60 frames per second (reading times to the 1/1000th of a second), making Eagle Eye not only legal with the high school federation, but a true one of a kind in the sport of track and field.

A standard video camera aligned on the finish line projects its image on the timing computer. Videotapes are a thing of the past -- completely digital with the speed and efficiency of modern digital technology.

Upon the flash of the starting gun, the Pyro-Bright Flash begins the race clock. As the runners approach the finish line the timing computer records the race directly to its hard drive. Once the last finisher has crossed, the recording is stopped and the race is immediately replayed within Eagle Eye software. Each athlete is bookmarked at their point of finish and a race file generated.

This race file is then drag-n-dropped to the results computer and automatically integrated in the meet management software such as RaceberryJam or Hy-Tek.

MEET OPERATION

Eagle Eye allows complete flexibility in the set-up and management of a track meet.  Use one computer for JV type meets or connect two computers for the ultimate in speed and efficiency.

The three options on the left show how to configure your computers and software to optimize the integration with meet management software such as Hy-Tek and RaceberryJam.

The FASTEST option requires the simultaneous use of two copies of Eagle Eye software. This can be done with a single purchase, however it will require the use of both Activation Codes per your Software License Agreement.

If using Hy-Tek Meet Management Software: In order to integrate with a timing system such as Eagle Eye, Hy-Tek requires 1) Meet Manager, 2) Seeding Option and 3) the Photo Finish Interface option (requires Meet Manager 2.0). All three are contained in the Hy-Tek Bundle more..

CONNECTING TWO COMPUTERS

After a race is read within Eagle Eye software, a race file is created containing event, lane and time information for all finishers.  In order for this file to integrate with meet management software (such as RaceberryJam or Hy-Tek) it must first be moved to the results computer.

The Tornado file sharing devise requires no special software or network connections.
Upon plugging the device into each computers USB port, a slit screen appears on both computers -- revealing the hard drives of each computer.  From here either computer operator can simply a drag-n-drop from one computer to the other.

This is what makes the FASTEST configuration so fast and flexible. Within TheTornado window, the operator of computer 2 can easily move the video file of the last race onto his computer so that computer operator 1 is IMMEDIATELY ready to record the next race.
