Variable Zoom Lens
  
This variable zoom lens is a great option for improving image quality when mounting timing camera on the outside of the track.  Reading hip numbers for distance race can be a challenge if the camera is mounted too far away from lane one.  Mounting the camera on the outside of the track places the runners further away from the camera.  A zoom lens allows for greater flexibility when positioning the timing camera for maximum image clarity.
