The scrape is a linebacker technique that requires hands on the guard and use of the press technique. Other reads discussed include the full flow read and the rock flow. Linebackers are taught to play only with eyes, feet and hands and are drilled accordingly. Technique drills include the force, scrape and press technique, and are illustrated by practice players.
